@stalat
I think you should ask them to take you to a breeder just to talk. Once they see the puppies and interact with them, I think they will fall in love :]

@waddleduckie1 Ah yup, that’s true, also dobermans and rottweilers are used by some police forces too, etc.

@WildB0i I don’t like Rottweilers. But I think german shepherds were used as police dogs to help the police to combat against crimes and they make great assistance dogs as well. However, I would just be cautious about mixing grown german shepherd dogs with kids.

Yes! I have two german shepherd dogs! My family has had these type of dogs for years. They are known for their hip displactia, our sable had that problem. Give them LOTS of chew toys when they are teething…although our female LOVED laundry baskets lol they need a lot of room to run! Though, there are white, sable (tan) and the classic black and tan, the color choice it up to you! Message me if you would like to see pictures!!!

German shepherds are more intelligent, more naturally protective of their “pack”, more quicker and there definitely tough as nails when you own a good male with a pure german bloodline. If you had any real experience with dogs, you’ll know that rotts and dobes don’t have the “whole package” like a german shepherd does, Corrupt5358.

@Corrupt5358 Looks like your name speaks for itself, it’s funny when i come to think of it as i took my 5 month old male german shepherd puppy to the vet a couple of weeks ago and a bigger dog was there, a bullmastiff, the bullmastiff barked at my GS pup and got aggressive, so my pup got furious back and lunged at the bullmastiff like a rocket at full strength(luckily i was holding the lead tight) and the mastiff cowered down like a little girl when he almost got attacked.

Why do they that dogs will take bullets ive herd it said alot before is there a reason for that?

It depends on the owner. My GSD has been socialised since he was a pup and we’ve had no issues; he likes playing with the kids and behaves himself around other dogs.
Certain people own dogs for all the wrong reasons.

German Shepherds and Rotties are both great dogs. It’s a shame that some owners give Rotties a bad name.

I prefer the superior and much stronger Rottweiler!
This dog is over estimated, good with it’s owner and crap with everyone else – especially kids. I’d like to see a German Shepherd take on a Mastiff or Rotty! – not to mention a grey wolf – far superior iin intelligence and strength to any alsation. This is also wrong Rott beats doberman and doberman beats alsation…
