Another important item for this type of guidance activity is the leash. A leash allows you more control over your pet. In some obedience sessions, a choke collar may still be used but or a few instances only.

Finally, the clicker is another essential in this type of guidance activity. There are pros and cons for this type of guidance activity. What is important is that you are able to assess the needs of your pet and determine what aspect of its behavior you want to be addressed on using this teaching method.
